Default FCP Euro oil kit question

I completed my first oil change on my 991.2 using an FCP kit, and after an hour of driving, the oil level indicator is green but well below the half mark.
For other FCP customers with a 991, I do not want to over fill it but is it standard practice to purchase an extra liter of oil to fill it (with maybe just a quarter)
to the halfway line?

Thank you

How many quarts do you buy? What oil?

I don't think FCP includes enough oil IMHO. My 991.2 GTS takes over 9 Qts, with the rear end raised about 4-6" to drain the oil. I measure what comes out and return that amount when I refill. So at 8.5 Qts it makes sense you will be a Qt low. I plan for 10 Qts when I change oil.

@DHL thank you for your reply. Do you feel up to the half line or go further?

When in doubt on the fill, I just add 1/2 Qt at a time.....

dozens of threads on this -- if it's green, leave it alone. anywhere in that range is acceptable and is considered "full"

I fill to the max line, but not over. That way I can easily see if the car is consuming oil.

I use 9 qts, brings the level just below the maximum fill line.

I think you are OK where you are. You can monitor and if you get closer to the low end then buy a quart locally and add as PRN.
