edit- realized i did not put the car (2013 911 Carrera)
OK, my fellow rennlisters I need some help with 2 codes i found when scanning with my iCarsoft PORV3. I have searched but can't seem to find what i am looking for. I finally had time to play with my scanner and found these codes: Airbag- 6501 (Passive / sporadic LIN bus- short circuit to ground)
This happened because i disconnected battery when i was checking the fuse panels- looking into why my traction control button was not working- to be fair i don't know if this ever worked this was one of the things i did not test when i bought car off used dealer- dohhh.
Anyways i've already performed a few things that i can think of:
1. Disconnected battery for 1 hour, then tried to reset using icarsoft- fail.
2. Tried just clearing with icarsoft tool- fail
3. checked fuses in passenger footwell panel- good (hell i checked all fuses passenger and driver for continuity and physical good working fuses)- fail
4. made sure my icarsoftV3.0 had latest software and tried clearing- fail
5. Other than checking fuses i did move seats up and back when i was in vicinity- checked to see if i see any physical damage- nope - fail
6. toggled wires under seats both driver and passenger to see if it would make difference- fail
7. tested battery is in good condition with battery tester and with multimeter- tested Great as you can see per pic and is only a little over a year old
**per the code showing a ground in circuit could be anywhere but i did not mess with anything- only thing i can think of maybe a spike in voltage when connecting battery caused damage to a module- not sure**
Battery Tester Battery Airbag airbag specific error
And the 2nd code is C13B00 (Active/ static Communication with LIN bus) found in the front end electronics menu which i'm not sure on where to look but it will not clear
Anybody ever encounter this error and or fix?
