Who has some experience with installing GT3 LCAs (Lower Control Arms) with spacers to get a wider track?
I'm looking to add 8 mm on each side.
Are the OEM GT3 LCAs already longer than the ones on the regular car?
Do I need different tension arms?
Do I need different tie-rod ends?
My car is only 20 mm lower than stock and will remain this way.
FWIW: I currently have 8 mm spacers and I absolutely want to get rid of them so, please, let's avoid this topic in this post and keep it informative. TIA.

I have the E-Motion lower arms and caster arms. I also widened the track with shims along with -2.5 camber. Huge increase in front grip. I did not have to add the longer tie rods because I had enough threads and don't really have bump steer, but I might add them this winter. To control the caster, you should have the tension arms. My car is also lowered 20mm. I think without shims the arms are roughly the same length. The shock was moved as far to the outside as possible and then camber was set with shims. Can't remember the size of the shims since it was done a few years ago but I think maybe 15mm shims .I am running 9 inch Forgeline wheels with stock offsets and no spacers
What do you call the Caster Arms? Is it what Porsche calls the tension arms or is it a different part?
Also, I'm trying to understand to which shims you are referring when talking about 15 mm to correct camber. So far, I've seen shims on the two-piece LCAs where I would have to add the 8 mm I need to widen the track and the Tension Arms from e-Motion also have shims to adjust their length when needed but I don't know if that necessary in my application.

Thanks again.
The tension arms are the caster arms. The 15mm shims were in the LCA to get camber. The castor arms also have shims to adjust caster
I have the same setup with all of Emotion parts and honestly I would go with them. I have absolutely zero increase in NVH and the parts look like they will last a very long time.
I mounted OEM 996 GT3 LCA with 15mm spacers.
Used the offset hole on the LCA together with std tension arm.

Alignment is right where I wanted to be

do you have 15 mm wheel spacers or 15mm LCA shims?
You can see the two shim stacks on my setup above.
I have the same setup. I didn’t need the longer tie rods, I had enough thread. Did you use longer tie rods with the spherical bearings? Any difference in steering feel?

So, the one and only thing you changed is the LCA and you adjusted the camber at the strut tower top?
