They sent me 4 samples and only the one on the left was close if at all but still different. However the one on the right matches the OEM belt thickness and pattern. So I have asked them if they can give me the yellow color on the left but in the material for the one on the right. Haha. Waiting to hear back.

I plan on using Safety Restore for my change but do have a question. In the process of switching out, since my garage is small, once one side (say drivers side) is out can I start the car and rearrange it so I can work on the other side without an error coming up on the dash? I hate my garage, to small and since thats the case I'll need to rotate the car in order to be able to swing the door open enough to get the seats out, etc.

This guy seems to have done just that.

This is for the benefit of those who plan to order yellow belts in the future. I can confirm that the standard yellow color offered by Safety restore is NOT a match to the Porsche racing yellow. it's infact bordering on neon/lime green depending on the light which I don't like. It's also thinner than OEM belt as far as thickness of the material goes (see Post#10).

Canary Yellow from Seatbelt Planet is a much closer match and the thickness is the same as OEM. Still not a perfect match but pretty close to the racing yellow. You'll also notice difference in the belt pattern. The one on the right is similar to OEM. See picture below.....

Safety Restore (L) vs Seatbelt Planet Canary Yellow (R)

Looks like Safery Restore is a hard pass. Can you show me the difference between the Seatbelt Planet yellow and the OEM racing yellow? I want to replace just the drivers side racing yellow webbing and was wondering how different the yellow really is. Thx very much.

Seatbelt planet canary yellow is nowhere near the racing yellow. I was wrong initially because I was comparing it to Safety Restore which is even greener. This is less green but still not as yellow/orange as OEM racing yellow. Totally different color. I’ll pm you the difference when I get home.

thx. I have both seatbelt planet and safety restore sending me samples of their yellows.

did you ever figure out where to get just webbing only that is truly the racing yellow yellow or did your break down and pay the $700 for the oem version full seatbelt?

For the benefit of others, almost no vendor including SeatBelt Planet carries racing yellow or anything close to it. I went down the rabbit hole of color matching and gave up on it. Ended up going with Speed Yellow which they stock and it's beautiful.

Also want to add that when it comes to staying close to OEM, SeatBelt planet belts are are pretty much spot on to what Porsche uses. This was important to me as I didn't want that slider that helps keep the buckles in place to be too tight or too loose if the replacement belts are too think/thick. Hope that makes sense. I will post a review soon after install.
