Default Joining the 991 club!

Wife finally gave me permission for a new-to-me Porsche (I already have a '97 Boxster that's on the 20-year plan to become a SpecBoxster) and I found a '14 C4S in white. Just delivered today and took it for a quick spin and I am thrilled! Car looks great, but the headlights definitely need some help (if not replacement), as does the stone guard film. Already did the first mod - swapped out orange for clear turn signals

Welcome to team 911

For headlights, there are a few options, from sending them off to be refinished, having the covers replaced with new, or purchasing new headlights all together. Some of the LED conversions have weird behavior with always being slightly powered and a little bit on, so do your research if you think about going that way. Probably at a minimum I would replace the lens, or send to someone to have them do it if you’re not comfortable with that. Here is a thread discussing the topic, but feel free to search for more (I suggest using Google and adding rennlist.com to the query)

Thanks! Taking it to have my detailer look at it in a few weeks. Hoping it can be cleaned up. I've done it to a few of my vehicles (the Boxster included), but I'm afraid some of what appears to be micro cracks are too deep. I will definitely read up on options once I hear back from him.

I used a trim tool, and put it at the front of the marker. I put a hand at the back of the marker and with that hand put my thumb the center of the marker. Then, I just kind of pressed in and levered with the trim tool, not trying to remove it, but just trying to get things to free up and move. Then, I used both thumbs to press in and move the marker to the back. It' only takes about 1/4" of movement to free them up.

Congrats! I also picked up a 991.1 C4S 3 weeks ago! Took me a bit to find one in manual transmission and sport chrono for a great price but glad the hunt is finally over

I'll give it another go! Thanks and enjoy!
