I occasionally have a no start issue, where when I turn the key it does not turn over. I get a message telling me to depress the brake pedal. But when I depress the pedal if feels stiffer than normal and still will not start. But after a few minutes, it eventually starts and the breake pedal softens. I tried stomping on the brake but still wont start. Any ideas, could it be the interlock? I had changed the battery last year and is on a tender when not is use so fairly sure not the battery.

Weird, I had this same scenario yesterday with a 2025 Cayman Style Package loaner vehicle with 2000 miles.
Was parked in my garage for two days - set in park with e-brake on. When I went to start it, the brake pedal was super stiff / heavy and it wouldn't immediately turn over. Put the key back into upright position, waited a few seconds, then tried again. Started up but sounded a tad different than I remember.
Oh well, seemed fine after that and returned it to the dealer...

The brake pedal being stiffer is normal if the car has been idle for a while (the power brake boost system bleeding down). Sounds like that switch is bad or out of calibration and it needs a bit more pedal travel to engage.
