Default TPMS Sensors

I ordered a set of wheels for my 2013 991 but they don't come with tpms sensors. Where do I buy such things? I looked at TPMS.com but they have several different types from $20 to $70?

I haven't had good luck with aftermarket sensors. I've tried a couple of different sources and have been unable to program them. I ended up going back to Porsche OE sensors, even though they're significantly more expensive than aftermarket sensors. Your experience may be different.

ive used these sensors in my 958.1 and 2 991.1 911's and they work perfectly. I have recommended them to others as well, and they have had no issues for multiple years. they are preprogrammed for the 991 as well, so no programming needed by the tire shop, just install them and the system will detect them and ask you to re-learn in the instrument cluster. They used to have a listing for a 4-pack for $50, which is a pretty big savings from purchasing one, but i can no longer find it. Maybe message them and ask, https://a.co/d/4P74DD3

ive also heard good things about the autel ones on amazon as well. Those need programming but most tire shops have the autel tpms computer to program, you can call the shop you plan on going to first and confirm though to be sure.

I ordered some last week from this exact place for my 2017 C4S. Should be here this week and then inwill Install on new wheels. I’ve used them before for my 992 Turbo S without issue

Good to hear that there are some options available that actually work.

I sell Autel sensors, which I program before shipping. Guaranteed to work on 991. I have them available with silver and black (metal) valve stems.

Only $100 per set shipped

Shoot me a PM to order.

Just for thoughts.

The tire place mounting your tires probably has them as well for not more money then buying them off the internet.

The type of sensors are not unique to Porsche just so they are the correct frequency for the car which many car companies use the same frequencies as we do.

My local Discount Tire had the TPMS in stock by the case when I need them for my 991.2

Got these from TPMS.com...Porsche 911 Carrera 991.1 Huf Intellisens TPMS Sensor 99760602120 433MHz. Pre-programmed and only took a couple blocks of driiving to show on the dash.

I've tried autel sensors in 2 sets of wheels for my touareg. They don't last long. A few years, and 3 of 4 are dead.

Possibly you got an old stock? I’ve had them on various cars, personal and customers, no issues so far.

local tire shops charge an insane amount of money for them if you purchase from there, please do not do that! my local discount tire charges $70 for one! you definitely want to purchase them before hand from one of the options mentioned above, and have them with you when you go have your wheels mounted/installed. The best option is the HUF ones from tpms.com. Those are the OE ones that are made for porsches, and come on your car from factory. But like i said i have had success with the ones on amazon which are half the price. Up to you which ones you want to go with but just make sure you dont purchase them from the tire shop.
