Cargraphic Valve Controller - 991.1 GTS
Evening all. Just wondering if anyone else has installed one of these on a 991.1 GTS?
Mine went in this weekend and to be honest I'm super disappointed. If you switch it on during cold start the sequence is noticeably louder, but this is pretty much where it ends.
At idle there is zero difference between the Cargraphic being "open" and just having the PSE switched on, which to be honest I expected. However, when moving, and being sat at 2-3k rpm there is absolutely no difference between PSE and the Cargraphic being opened i.e I can cruise in stock at 2k revs, with PSE on, hit the valve controller to be open on the cartographic remote and there is absolutely zero audible change.
has anyone else any experience on these? The reviews/videos of them for 718 GTS/GT4 etc are really impressive so I was expecting it to do something past just make my cold start louder.

I have no idea why you wanted this in the first place.
I would note that keeping the valves closed past 5k RPMs probably builds back pressure the car wasn't designed or tested for. Normal and PSE modes both seem to open my valves around 5k RPMs from what I can hear. As the car can do like 100mph in 7th and be nowhere near 5k RPMs, I still don't get the point of the module.
If you have a car with a short final gear, this can be useful. For instance, in a 458 Italia, the valves open/close around 65mph in the top gear. So a "permanently closed but be sure not to floor it while you use it because of backpressure", is useful.

First of all, l love Cargraphic stuff. Had it in my 981S and it was the best.
I believe the PSE and the remote activated the same valve therefore whichever you activate first will defeat the second activation. That’s why you hear no difference.
From my experience I found those side mufflers are the difference maker in sound. So with my 991.1 I swapped out the side mufflers with pipes and it’s as expected, AMAZING.
The PSE still runs as normal albeit little less difference between on or off but still…. I’m very happy with my choice.
The only thing I would do differently if I had the funds, I would custom make those side pipes to 3” pipes instead is 2.25” as the original diameter. I believe the tone will be fuller but hopefully no drone.
