That appears to be the picture of the OEM controller and not the DSC. DSC has orange casing.

Oops, looks like someone may have sold their car w/ the DSC controller still installed, and is left with the OEM Porsche controller.

ooh Crap that is too funny but easy mistake

If you are in touch with the buyer, please get this to them. I cannot tell you the hell I went through when my car was in the shop with DSC installed, we were moving across state lines and OEM was packed. 3 Dealer techs and Master mechanics tried and couldnt service/bleed the PDCC pump.

Yes, the DSC controller will generate an error code for the PASM/PDCC systems because a Porsche diagnostic scan will only recognize the OEM suspension controller. If it's not there, it flags a defect, which isn't actually a defect.

If your service visits have nothing to do with PASM or PDCC, no reason to remove it. If the dealer mentions a malfunction code related to suspension, just explain you installed the DSC, and you have the OEM controller, which can be reinstalled quickly for the purposes of the service if necessary, but usually it won't be.

Virtually all Porsche certified mechanics will be quite familiar with DSC controllers because of their popularity.

You can get the OEM controller to the car buyer and they will have what’s needed.
