Hi everyone, new member here!
I am having an issue wit my 991.2 GTS, i need to replace my passenger door.
I am doing some research here, and it looks like 991.1 and 991.2 have different part numbers.
Does anyone here know whether or not they are interchangeable? the only difference I can tell is the door handle

Correct. The door handles on exterior ***and the hole in the metal*** they mount to is indeed different from 991.1 to 991.2.
Interior door panels will transfer over so I don't know if there are any differences on the inside of the door.
There may be other differences... but the exterior handles are a big difference so I'd limit your search to 991.2 doors.

Thanks for such a good and concise answer.
Too bad that finding a 991.2 door is a royal pain in my booty.
Wish there was a way to retrofit, but if the hole is different - then i am just going to keep searching

I don't know where you are, but according to car-part.com there is a junkyard in California that currently has a passenger 991.2 door available. It's worth giving them a call to see if they will be willing to ship. i've had luck in the past finding junkyards that will ship.
