Default Replacement front door speaker options (991.2 C2 base stereo)

My passenger front door speaker is blown out. I’d like to take the opportunity to improve overall sound quality, but not go down a rabbit hole of more improvements like amps or other speakers.

Do you have any recommendations for a non-OEM replacement that I could swap into both front doors without needing additional equipment? Or is it better to just go with a OEM replacement for the base stereo. Thanks!

I'd certainly go non-OEM. I have sound package plus in my car and have replaced all the speakers (twice as the previous owner had already upgraded to Rockford Fosgate). I replaced them with Hertz Mille Pro and the sound improvement is noticeable. I have also done substantial soundproofing on the doors.

Quite a few of us got in on a group buy for replacement speakers from SCR Distribution in the UK. The kit included speaker rings/adaptors, sound deadending and water guards. See link below. I did the Audiofrog kit on my Base stereo and it's a nice upgrade.

No I didn't... I'm not sure the Base stereo has the center speaker. Never really looked / verified.

i am very nterested in your replacement.
1- did you replace only the door speaker ?
2- was the electricsl connection OEM into the existing door
3- as ours is Bose, does this replacement work seamlessly ?

thanks for heads up suggestion

I changed the tweeter and mids in the doors too so the 3-way active from Hertz Mille Pro

I also replaced the rear speakers (Porsche 981) with https://hertz-audio.com/product/ar-a...le-pro-mp70-3/

the tweeter mount needed a little modification but nothing major and the other speakers I just soldered on the speaker wire.

I've now updated the headunit to a CHSTEK and an amp is next on the shopping list
