so I recently purchased a 911 Carrera 2013 PDK
I'm facing an issue with it and until now it is not solved
when I drive for around half an hour or sometimes more and the weather is hot < talking about 45C +

when I stop and shift the gear to R, the engine cuts off directly after releasing the breaks, electricity on the other hand still works
So to make the car starts again I need to shift the gear to P then shut down the car completely and start it again


I have changed the battery after purchasing the car, and a week ago I replaced the front fuel pump as it was diagnosed by a garage that it was old and worn out 🤷🏻‍♀️
but it happened again twice after changing the fuel pump..

This happens with me sometime so from last May until today it happened around 20 times

did this happen with anyone else? And what might be the issue?

Dunb question, but did you turn off A.S.S.? What happens after it stalls. Do you need to start it again via turning the key?

Does it "turn ooff" the moment you stop or the moment you put it into R/Reverse?

Have you tried turning Auto stop OFF?

well, when it turns off i need to put the gear to P then turn the key to off then turn it back on again

 

Any CEL or error codes present? You will need to scan for error codes with a code reader.

 

Nothing is showing on the screen and I did check it several times with garages, no error showed in the reports

i didn’t try S+ but i dont think that auto stop is relevant as I closed it before and the same happened

What if it didn't turn off with the switch, but does with S or S+?

 

I owned a 13 I purchased new. It did what you described except it would just shut off randomly. It did it to me several times and almost got me killed (shut off on the highway in the fast lane and would not restart for 15 mins). I took it to the dealer and they fixed something. I think it was a crank position sensor; once they finally figured that out and fixed it I never had the problem again.. There was a service bulletin about it and several cars were impacted. Search the 991 forum for Crank position sensor and you will find a bunch of threads.

I will say that if it's the crank position sensor it will happen in any gear or in neutral so it may not apply to your car.

 

Ok, instead of saying turn on or off, when the light on the button is not illuminated it means the auto start stop function is functioning, therefore you will get engine cut off.
In Sport or Sport Plus mode the Auto Start Stop is automatically activated which means the light on the button is illuminated and you will not get any engine cut off.
So just to make it clear, what is your situation?
