We are Fidelity retailers, send me an email, and I will be able to get you coverage information and an idea on what to expect pricing will be when you come out of CPO next year.

Default If one does not have sunroof

I would pick that one. VW sucks at sunroofs. Non accident car always wins for me.

Few thoughts:
  • Value of CPO increases with projected miles to be driven - garage queen vs regularly driven
  • Non clean CarFax diminishes the value even for a minor accident, CarFax regularly reports major accidents as minor, will affect re-sale.
  • Newer is better, but very minor changes between 2013 vs 2015, backup camera as mentioned above.

It's hard to believe but both of these cars are a decade old at this point so at this stage in the game condition matters more than anything else. I would buy whichever one was in better overall condition both mechanically and cosmetically. CPO and warranties in general are overrated in my opinion especially at this age.

- 2015, 39k miles, has a minor (left rear panel) repair reported on Carfax, no accident, know the owner. Well taken care of and maintained by the top P mechanic. The car is local to me.

the price is, let’s say, the same.

what are your thoughts?
I will add that I bought a 2013 C4S last year with CPO and am glad I did because it sprung a coolant leak soon after purchase. The service center here in DFW was great and fixed it no questions asked. And when I asked about the delaminating door panels they replaced both door panels no questions asked. This would have been thousands of dollars.

Great inputs y’all!
sounds like unless I can get the 2015 for $4-5k less than the 2013 (CPOd) then it would make sense to go for the 2013.

I do believe that the 2013 is cleaner and I definitely know how well maintained and taken care it is/was. But the 2015 was maintained by the top mechanic and owned by a top notch enthusiast and a long time Automotive (and Porsche) expert. The 2013 is spotless, everywhere. The 2015 is driven, but very clean with a few little scratches here and there.

the equipment is very much identical for both vehicles.

the 2015 “accident” happened in 2017 with the 1st of 3 owners. The current owner not only fully inspected the affected areas but also tracked it down to smallest details and the accident was purely cosmetic.
