Default Convert 18-way seats to manual sliders

Hello!

I just picked up a new to me 2018 Carrera T which is optioned with the 18-way Sport Seats Plus. The seats are wonderful, and a HUGE upgrade from the 14-way seats in my previous 991. Unfortunately, because my car is a T, I don't have the memory package. Along with not having memory, it doesn't have "easy exit" where the seat moves back upon shutting the ignition. I like to sit close to the wheel when driving, which makes egress an issue.

Here are my choices:
  1. Back the seat up when I get out and quit my damn complaining. (cheap and annoying)
  2. See if Porsche can program in some kind of an exit position for the seats. (unlikely)
  3. Attempt to convert the base of my 18-way seats to manual fore and aft adjustment.
I'd really like to have option 2 work out, but I don't see it happening.

So my question (finally) is... Does anyone know if option 3 is a possibility?

If you buy a Thinkdiag for about $100, you can do #2 yourself. See this thread

In the thread, there is a pdf that lisst all the coding you can do, which includes programming seat to move further back when car shuts down.

The seat actuators all have encoders to track position even if car wasn’t originally equipped with the memory option?

You are probably asking your questions in the Thinkdiag thread as that is where the experts reside.
