What are the "running" temps you are finding for the oil and water on the dash gauge ? (South FL 90 degree light traffic)

Radiator Coolant Gauge is a dummy gauge and stays at 175f unless the engine is cold or overheating.

I coded my 991.2 water temp so it shows real water temps. They can range from 175 to 195 depending on driving and what mode. It usually reads around 180 with some plus or minus 5 degrees

My reason for asking is, our Macan S runs at a much lower oil temp...Yeah, I know a completely different engine....(and use)

my Macan stays at 194
the oil temp is usually around 200 but gets as high as 225 in spirited driving and 100F outside temps

194 is the right temp unless you have reprogrammed the translation table. Oil temps depend on the SC setting. Normal mode is 220ish. Sport is 194. This is both AZ and FL driving and I haven’t seen outside temp influence much of anything.

Agree except your age has nothing to do with it 😀. It also requires some advanced tooling, a PWIS or something similar to adjust the values in table. IMHO, such adjustments away from what the designers intended is not necessary. The oil temperature, which does fluctuate, tells you what you need to know. An independent may be able to help you if you really want that information. Good luck!

MOST of YOU GUYS grew up in the Computer Age...I retired in 1989, at that time CAD was just starting in the Architectural field....so I never needed to learn anything about it
I use a CHROMEBOOK it s my only TECHY "thing" all that talk about programming and such makes my eyes roll

These days there are so many tutorials on YouTube for everything tech related. I would recommend watching a couple of videos and you’ll likely see it’s quiet easy and you’ll be able to do it yourself no problem.
