Default Small dent repair - any experience?

I was gifted my first door ding from a reckless, dishonest person who left the crime scene. It's a doozy. It's a dime-sized ding with a nick of paint missing in the center. Has anyone used the firms that advertise small dent removal, or do I need the entire quarter panel painted?

Thanks !

Paintless Dent Repair can fix the ding, no issue. The loss of paint is a wrinkle though. The guy can apply a dab of paint and polish it out and be probably 95-98% good, depending on how much paint is gone. Maybe better. Visit or call some PDR guys and send them a picture. See what they say.

Depending on the location (e.g. not on a bend or a crease) you might be able to pull the dent yourself with one of the kits off Amazon. I was able to at least reduce the dent size both on our steel fridge door and one on my wife's Lexus. It's a remarkably cheap (~$25) and simple tool/process.

Ding repair is fairly straight forward now if the ding is small to medium. Don't know what area you are in put the first place I would call for local referrals would be your local Porsche club. They are repositories of significant information. If that doesn't work ask a friend or buddy who is into cars if they can tell you. Lastly, I would ask your local Porsche dealer. They should have someone in your area. Paint chips are also relatively easy...I would ask the same people about that as well. If the chip is small and the paint repair isn't to big you'll probably pay in the neighborhood of $150.00 . Posting a pic would be helpful...good luck.

I received this little bb sized dimple the other week. I took it to the Porsche dealer and had their PDR guy remove it. Cost $75 and took less than 15 minutes. Not bad at all.

Mine ding is about 2x the size of yours, with the paint nicked showing the primer. I found the "Dent Doctor" in my town, and he quoted $200. I'll find out how it goes tomorrow !

I had a huge 6" long dent which was fixed by a PDR guy where I could hardly tell. I am in the Seattle area and happy to vouch for him if anyone needs help.

A good PDR person is indeed worth using. A small nick in the paint is also fixable by someone who knows what they're doing. I've done the latter myself, on an Audi I used to own.
