Coming from a SoCal resident: I have fabspeed high flow cats and eventually they threw codes, so I used spacers and they are passing readiness and SMOG.

My car is so low, that my SMOG guy (super old guy) doesn't even bother looking, he plugs into OBD (I am tuned, but flash back to stock and prep readiness)

And for the past two checks it's been NO ISSUE YMWV, but happy to share my place in DM's
