I would get a quote or two, and get reimbursement from the company. Don't go through insurance. It will come up as damage on there permanently and a stickler will look at it as "frame damage".

I am curious to know
1. how do you know the valet did it? Did they admit it? Do you see it happen? Or did you only notice it after the fact?
2. very curious how this could have happened. A crease like that in front of the rear tire indicates a direct impact occurring while the car is parked. Something may have hit straight into it like a shopping cart or a bicycle, or most likely another car door especially because it is a clean vertical crease possibly the thin straight edge of a car door. If your car was moving there would be some scrape of the paint from forward or reverse motion. That is clearly an impact dent that occurred when the car was stationary due to lack of paint damage or scraping. While it may have happened while in the possession of a parking valet I doubt it happened with the car in motion. The valet may have been totally unaware it happened. Also since it is so low to the ground on a car that is low, were there any very low exotics parked next to you? I

I watched a expert take a hug concave dent done by a basketball on a Bentley rear quarter. I mean it looked the the kids through the ball as hard as they could at that beautifully rounded shape. The indent looked about two inches deep and the size of the ball. Took him half a day but came out perfect like nothing ever happened....find the right guy, it can be done.

I got a guy from eastern Europe that does great work, comes to you and charges ok if you are in DFW.

@VII7 - are Eastern European guys better than Western European at dent elimination?

In my limited experience with dents most definitely yes, only he is autorized to touch my cars.

From my experience with dent in a rocker panel on a Porsche back in 2019, the few PDR guys I asked wouldn't touch it. It's not the same as quarter panels/doors.
Ended up having to take it to a body shop.

Sorry OP. This won't be an easy one.

That area is a harder section than the upper portion and it has the texture

although not impossible to repair with PDR, it most likely will need bodywork

the trick is to repair it with exact texture as Porsche, which very few shops can replicate

Seek out the best Porsche specialist in your area and go check out their work before repairing

good luck and let us know how it turns out

mm, pump the brakes there. any bodyshop worth going to will be able to match the texture without issue. under-paint chip guard coatings have been around for decades. even Mazda has been doing it since at least the 80s, it is by no means exotic.

I know sign painters who can match this texture. it's just application technique, most of which is twisting the right ***** on the paint gun.

I believe Moe is referring to the unique orange peel that Porsche's factory paint elves use.

the lower portion has a distinct extra orange peel texture since the early 911 days to help with rock chip appearance and minimizing that appearance

it is very difficult to replicate, but can be done if painter knows how

yeah I'm aware of what you're referring to. that texture is caused by a layer of under-paint chip guard, and its texture is dictated by the nozzle size, fan configuration, and of course feed volume.

it's not special on porsches, it's not exotic, and it's not difficult to do. putting the idea out there that it requires a special shop to perform this is misleading at best. 3m even has publicly available videos explaining how to achieve various textures, and tips for how to speed up that process.

the texture has little to do with the level of protection offered. the protection is due to the elasticity of the coating.

Nah, just in Texas they have to make a point of bringing up race or country of origin lol

@996chi Please keep us updated. I'm dealing with a similar issue with damage to my rocker panel.
