Removing the "fake" key
I know there are steps to removing that permanent key but I cant remember how. Can you guys refresh my memory please. Moving on from my 4S and want to remove the aftermarket one.

So, you have Porsche Entry & Drive, and either you or the delivery person inserted the dummy key. Very handy. You drive the car around Europe enjoying the keyless entry and drive feature, and now it's time to return your car to be shipped to the states.
You of course need to leave one of the electronic keys with the car, but you're not entirely comfortable that the key and the car will stay together on the long voyage. You want to remove the dummy key, and insert the "real" key (one of the two electronic ones) in its place in the ignition slot. BUT! Your dummy key is in the ignition and it seems stuck!
Well, it's supposed to be "stuck." DO NOT TRY TO FORCEFULLY REMOVE IT! Instead, here is the way to remove the dummy key so you can insert the coded electronic key.
1. Sit in car WITHOUT your electronic key. Not in your pocket or purse. It has to be outside the car's sensing range. I think outside the car is good enough.
2. Turn the dummy key as if you're trying to start the car.
3. You will see a message on the multi-purpose screen: "Key Not Recognized"
4. Turn the dummy key again as if you're trying to start the car.
5. You will see a message on the multi-purpose screen: "Operating part: turn left, pull off, insert key."
6. As instructed, turn dummy key to the left, you will hear a click, and you can remove the dummy key!
Take the dummy key home with you along with all the other loose things you're supposed to take (owner's manual, etc.). LEAVE one electronic key with the attendant (or in the ignition slot), and take the other with you.
Re-insert the dummy key when the car is returned to you at your local dealer and enjoy keyless entry and drive.
This sequence is also useful when you get back to the states and for some reason, worry the parking valet might lose your electronic key.
