Making the 991 great again...
Frankly I have not been driving my 991.2 much. I have another shiny object so it's been sitting under the cover for a few weeks. There was a Porsche Club Drive on Sunday and it seemed like a nice opportunity to learn a new driving route for boring Florida. Turned out to be a great experience and it re-connected me with the car again. Most of my driving is home to school, the grocery store, or other short hauls in traffic. This was a run to the coast including some great country roads. Turns out we have the 6th largest ranch in the US nearby and the roads through it were empty. I might have exceeded the speed limit several times.
What a great car, did a 200+ mile trip on 2/3rds of a tank. Got 27 mpg coming back home on the highway averaging 82 mph. Comfortable, fast when you want it fast, top down, top up, just a great all around car. I did notice that the DSC Controller and Eibach springs are a bit more "floaty" than I like at speed but you could take that out by turning the shocks on firm. I'm in love again...

I daily drive my 991.1 and my 1988 911. I have put more than 215K miles on them combined. The wife and I have combined for more than 200K on our 987.1 Cayman and '19 Macan S. I find the more I drive them, even on a dull commute, the more I love them. I can't go back to dull cars. Drive the **** out of them and take care of them. Life is too short.

Agree 100%!! I drive mine everyday, regardless of the weather as rain doesn’t hurt a car no matter what anyone says. These cars live to driven and that’s what you should do. Too many new P-Car drivers are playing the game to see who can put on the least miles. Don’t know what they are missing out on.

My last Boxster I only drove five thousand miles in five years! Just bought a 2018 C2S I’m going to Dailey drive this one, except when it’s raining ha ha.

Boy I sure do like the white with gold wheels. Looks fanatic! I love the convertible so much I ended up buying a 996.1 C4 (6 manual) just to have one. It's a nice change of pace switching between the 991.1 C2S (PDK) & C4.

I am a youngster (32) and I agree!! I have never owned a practical car. My wife hates me for it. On our third date she told me my car looked like a cartoon character.

Very nice, my local club & indy shop. This must have been a spicier Alex drive as the Annette ones are pretty chill. See you around one of the local meetups maybe!

Ask your dealers Master Mechanic.. the more the car is driven the longer it lasts!! Garage queens break down or require more maintenence far more.. and who buys a car like these and doesn’t drive it!?!

So much worse than I remember, but you've given me some hope.... so are there places people go to drive and have fun besides crawling in traffic? I'm gonna need a hookup on that or I may go crazy.

Looking for nomenclature breakdown, i.e., I'm looking at a dealer offered Targa 4, but it says all wheel drive, shouldn't it be "4S". I know, I know, so, so complicated, no one even dealer can keep it straight.
If I spend hours, I can discern diff between 996 and 992, but , is there a glossary somewhere? And what is a "4S 2D?

Amazing what a set of wheels combined with the right stance does for a car. Looks freakin awesome.......kind of a "Classy Speedster" vibe.
As to the exceeding the speed limit, I find this of great concern. Perhaps you should consider others as well as the planet we live on when performing such selfish acts.
