Is it possible to install the GT4 RS shift **** on the 991.1 Carrera?
Hi.
I am asking everyone because I want to replace the 991.1 c4s PDK gear **** with the GT4 RS Shift ****. Is this gear **** from Suncoast compatible with the 991.1? Has anyone tried it? (https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...4rsalcpdk.html)
The Suncoast chat representative says no, but it looks like it is possible. Of course, I know that the gear up and down is reversed, but that's not a problem. They say the console trim must be ordered separately. (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991553.html

Note what they say:
Compatible with 2013-2016 Boxster/Cayman/Carrera, but notice that the gear diagram on the **** is reversed. The "+" and "-" for gear selection are reversed on those models, so we don't recommend this to avoid any confusion while manually shifting.
You can do this along with Cobb PDK tune that would change the ****ing direction to match whats on the shifter. Of course the +/- graphic on the dash cluster would still be opposite.

I saw the thread you pointed to and it helped me a lot, but I'm still confused.
It's not a big problem that the **** gears +/- are reversed, but do you know if the two below are the same? (Actually I want blue stitching on the lacetex.)

The short answer is YES, it will fit the 991.1
It's rather expensive for what it is tho..
I went the cheaper route of getting a leather manual shift boot and the console trim piece but kept my stock PDK shifter. Still looks clean and I saved $460
All in for $140
