Default Sat Nav Route File Formats

I am going on a road trip soon, taking my 991.2 and have been supplied with route files in .GPX format. These files are OK for my TomTom, but I don't think they are an acceptable format for the 991. Does anyone know what are the acceptable formats for routes to be loaded to the 991 Sat Nav? Thank you.

Since you have a .2, I assume you have CarPlay? If so, you can use the Porsche App “Roads”. Roads lets you import GPX files, and will provide turn by turn guidance via CarPlay.

Thanks, yes it's a .2 with CarPlay, but I don't have an Apple phone. (I assume an Apple phone needs to be connected?)

Yes, Apple only. For some unknown reason there is no native Android support by Porsche. There are aftermarket solutions, but that is probably too involved for simply getting GPS instructions.
