Default 991.2 Anyone upsize to 255/315 on stock S wheels?

I’ll be switching to the PS4S from the horrible Pirellis and thinking of going up a size to eliminate some of the wheel gap and more flush fitment. For those who made the change on the stock S wheels can you please share pictures and feedback, good or bad.

Thanks.

Not directly relevant but I did this on my 997 and the 315 size on the 19s happened to be a lower load rating than the 101Y or whatever Porsche specifies. Local tire shop wouldn't mount them. Tire Rack mobile ultimately did. If the 20" sizes match with load rating and front/rear I would not hesitate. Also in my case the fitment didn't really appear any more flush, for whatever reason. It's a small change.

Load rating is the same so good there.

Worth noting that wider section width doesn’t necessarily mean more traction, especially when not widening the wheel as well. You can easily end up with same overall mechanical grip but worse turn in. Likely driving on the street you’ll never notice the grip issues, but the squirmy turn in will be instantly noticeable in my experience.

only lowering will help with Wheel Gap. Id stick with Stock sizes as they are already huge and $$.

I upsized my front tires to 255/35ZR20 Michelin PS4s on my 2017 C2S and zero clearance issues. I did this 5 years ago when my car had 15k miles and have participated in several HPDE events. It now has 37k miles, but about 3k miles are from use of my set of winter tires. The fronts still have about 7/32 tread and the rears are shot with the steel belts cords pattern showing through on the inside edges of the 305/30ZR20 PS4s tires. The rear fenders appear to have plenty of space for 315mm tires.
