Default 991.1 to 991.2 taillights

I just found these on Alibaba and with the improvement of quality of aftermarket coming from china, especially more electronic things. I am tempted. Has anyone seen these?

He did the oem route where he swapped the 991.2 bumper as well. The aftermarket lights allow you to keep your original 991.1 bumper.

I looked into new 991.2 tails a while back on Ali. Numerous emails and they insisted they worked on 991.1. Forgot what happened but then they finally admitted that it would not fit. Probably not the same outfit, all I am saying is to make double sure they will fit the dot 1 series.

Ad does say free returns, so maybe worth a shot?

Id want to see actual pictures of them installed on a 991.1. I just looked at this product on Ali and the blue car they show is a 991.2 GT3 Touring. I'm very skeptical on these actually working!

Nope, if the lights have to look good (and even vaguely authentic), then they need to be the same shape as the OEM 991.2 lights => which means, they definitely will NOT fit the 991.1 bumper.
Also, that's $1100 just for the lights including shipping => you can source things from eBay and the likes and end up around the same for the parts.

I went the OEM route too - DIY'd everything and couldn't be happier I still need to figure out the vents (prolly a mesh).
BTW Carrara White on 991.1 is different from 991.2 (its Carrara White Metallic on 991.2). 991.2 also has a "White", that's way too white to match our cars :P
Still waiting on a ducktail option.. And also thinking about updating the front end
