Question 991.2 to 991.1 Steering Wheel Retrofit

Hello everyone!
I recently purchased a 2013 Carrera with a Manual transmission and I wanted to see if it was possible to retrofit a steering wheel from the 991.2 (no multifunction and no paddles obviously) without the need for any adaptors.
I saw a guy on Youtube that did it in his Cayman but I don't know if it would work in a 911.
Appreciate any help
(also it is my first time posting in here so I'm sorry if I'm doing something wrong hehe)

I am in the same situation. 2013 4S cab MT, love the car hate the steering wheel, too thin, also not a huge fan of the “thumb” rests. Used to 930 wheel on my 89 911Speedster. Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated. Willing to go non Porsche if I can find the right wheel

It worked for me - 991.1 manual. Only had to source a 991.2 steering wheel and airbag and had my local indy install it.

Should be some threads out there as well.

Thank you tsiemian!
Yeah it seems to be a simple job but I wanted to make sure because I don't want any airbag lights on the dash or the connectors not to work.
