Default Which 991 are widebody?

I've got a 2018 Targa 4 and am curious about which bodies are narrow versus wide.

I'm considering new wheels and that plays into the search, right?

4/4S/GTS/GTS4/GT3 are wide body.

Turbo are slightly wider than the above models..

I was curious about wide body cars with an NA motor. I created a table that shows the US models sold since the 911 was introduced. If interested, it's here... https://www.gtsence.com/the-history-...hy-it-matters/

The GT3 RS also had the 'ultrawide' body 1880 mm width vs the 1852 mm 'standard wide' body.

I'm splitting hairs, but many of the special editions were also wide body... 911R, 50th Anniversary 911.

I had seen that when I searched, and noted it did not mention the Targa models. Good info otherwise, and maybe update it when this is nailed down for the Targa models too?

My interest was the 2 wheel drive models. Targas are 4 wheel drive, so I didn't include them. Might be good to add a column for the 4 wheel drive models as well.

in 991 generation, All Targa cars were 4WD hence they are all wide body cars by default.

According to a few AI queries, it's 1.7 inches.

Having written a few articles comparing the various late model Porsche cars, I can appreciate the time and effort that went into this website. I may have to buy some "merch".

As a 993 owner … He just has “Carrera S” others include…..

993 Carrera S, 4S, Turbo and Turbo S were all Wide Body cars.

Not sure if all is info is correct. I would double check.

Great article and excellent resource for all of us. Much appreciated! I am considering a GT2RS addition and it's interesting to note that the rear widebody of the 991.2 GT2RS is the same as my 991.2 Turbo S.

A base Carrera and Carrera S are narrow bodies. All others are wider.
