I have a 991.2 with sport steering wheel. With my old iPhone 8 I could bluetooth the iPhone and change tracks with the thumb wheel. Now my iPhone 12 will not allow me to do it, I can scroll through the music but when I hit on a song nothing happens. The button works with the iPhone 8 so its something with my syncing. After spending an hour I found no help in the owners manual. Also how do you delete phone in the radio you don't own. I appreciate all the help.

I was successful in deleting the old phones, needed 5 steps but hey that's ok... Still can't get thumbwheel to change stations on bluetooth or car play.

I thought it was just a volume control and a pause button.

I'll have to play around with it a bit more.

 

If your using bluetooth, then you can scroll through your songs. On my iPhone 8 if you then pushed the thumbwheel it would select that song to play. It never worked on CarPlay. Until I take it to dealer I made the wild car button to go to next song. now I push thumbwheel and nothing happens, if I used iPhone 8 it works, but not the iPhone 12

Was going to suggest wild card button. Good work around...and good term for it...I was calling it the freebie button lol

 

This happens a lot on the Macan forum also, it appears Apple changed something and Porshe doesn't work past iPhone 8 to change track with thumbwheel. The new 2022 will work....
