Confession: installing GroDisc Wrong & Right Way
- Take of the left front wheel and remove the caliper and hang t out of the way, a necessary step, prior to installing brake discs,
- Now, remove the right front wheel and hang the caliper, NOTING, there must be a caliper expander set within the left front wheel. Why? Obvious now....you must secure the left front wheel to brake it loose. If you have the right front caliper hanging and there is no caliper expander holding the brake discs in place, you'll pop the disc(s) out, and possible dislodge a brake piston(s) as well. As the the guy responsible for pumping the brake to secure the right front caliper, I confess to doing 2 pumps then realize that something was terribly wrong. We then installed the caliper expander to secure the pads.
- Now, break the right front caliper loose and remove the GiroDisc that was installed backward, install the correct one. Repeat on the left side
INSTALLED CORRECTLY.
