Porsche Experience Atlanta Tips?
My wife and I gifted a session at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta to my adult son (and of course, me!). We both opted for current-gen GTS cars (I have a 991.2 but my son prevailed on trying something different..."why would you drive what you already drive?!"
Any pointers or suggestions for our road trip? Only going to be in Atlanta very briefly, and don't think we'll even have time to leave the airport/Porsche center area. If anyone's done it, any must-see/eat/don'ts/dos?
Thanks in advance!

We did it last year, it’s incredibly fun. My only rec is to be clear on what you want from the session. I didn’t care about drifting so only did the skid pad once, but if you don’t tell them what you want to do you’ll just keep cycling through the different challenges.
It's awesome. I've done it twice. Give yourself at least an extra hour or two to walk around and see all the cars on display. More time if you want to stay for a bit at either of the two restaurants. Do not finish your session without asking the driving instructor to take you on a few hot laps. This is a must.
If time permits, the Kimpton Overland Hotel abuts the PEC property. They have an 8th floor deck with pretty cool views of both tracks, not to mention a steady stream of jets coming in to ATL. They have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and back.
I was there this week for a work function, and while I did not have the opportunity to book a driving session, we did have a company social gathering at PEC that was a pretty cool venue for that sort if thing. I have done a PEC session a few years ago in a 991.2 which was very cool, but seeing that they now have the west track open with some interesting replica corners (Corkscrew anybody????) I would try to book a session that uses that part of PEC.

It was impressive how much more performance the stock 911 GTS had than I was willing to explore without some guidance.

I would avoid doing a Turbo or Turbo S. Unless you are really into launches. You won't be able to exploit its capabilities on their track. Granted I have no idea how the new / additional track is that opened in April.
When I took delivery of my '17 Cayenne there it was a blast using someone else's Turbo S Cayenne around the drift pad. STOMPING the hell out of the brake/accelerator in order to get it to break loose. Even without traction control activated it was a challenge forcing it to drift.
Is basically an autocross not a track. If your into that then fine but I felt a little cheated for the money having been on a real track a half dozen times. Apparently they built a longer more real type track but I have not been for that. If i went again I would only do the longer track.
