NOTE: I run the GTS/50th Anniversery grill with my OEM Ducktail on my 991.1. Perhaps it's not optimal, but with many track days, 100 degree + canyon runs I have never had overheating issues or felt power issues.
It's very possible I am losing some performance, but the engine and it's vitals seem healthy and no noticeable drivability issues.

Below is what I was mentioning. I'm sure there's a reason Porsche specifically states that a certain grille needs to be on a car if a ducktail is put on. I'm sure we can get away with it like you mentioned.

Elle est canon, cette Touring !
J’ai appris à démonter mon aerokit cup sur ma gts .1 rouge indien : je galère à récupérer ma caméra de recul après avoir remplacé mon pcm 3.1 par un 4.
le raccordement est derrière le feu droit.
Je suis content de voir que je ne suis pas le seul dingue dans notre pays !
