@HardRider small claims court in Florida is limited to a maximum of $8,000. This is probably why Progressive offered $7,800. Since I was suing for $20,000 minimum, small claims court was not an option for me. The lawyer I hired let me make the decisions: he was willing to go to court if I decided not to settle, and since we didn’t go to court, I paid out a much smaller portion of the proceeds for my attorney. I was very pleased with this guy, so if anyone gets into a property claim with their Porsche, and needs someone to help them in those aforementioned states (FL, LA, NJ, IA), I’ll be glad to tell you who to contact.
