991.2 Carrera S H&R Springs - Height Specs and Images
When I was doing my research on springs for my 991.2 S, I did find all the information I was looking for, but it was scattered throughout different threads so I wanted to make a post with the information all in one spot.
I recently has issues with a Bilstein Damptronic coilover kit, so in the meantime I bought a set of H&R Springs and threw them on the stock PASM shocks and stock top hats.
The final numbers for height measured in 2 places. The car has been aligned with conservative, but not stock specs. Front camber: 1degree, Rear: 1.5degree. Front toe: 0, Rear total: .1degree - .05L, .05R
Front height from the ground to fender lip: 26-1/2"
Rear height from ground to fender lip: 27-1/4"
Front gap from top of the wheel lip to fender lip: 3-1/16"
Rear gap from top of the wheel lip to fender lip: 3-1/4"
20" Stock wheels
Front 20x8.5 ET49 Offset - Sport 4S Tires 245/35R20 - 31PSI
Rear 20x11.5 ET76 Offset - Sport 4S Tires 305/30R20 - 39PSI
Rear Strut C-Clip on the lowest ring.
The look of the car is perfect for what I was looking for. The ride is decent, but certainly not the same as stock. It will be slightly more bouncy and float more with the PASM turned off. When on, the firmer rebound/compression helps keep the car feel more compliant and stock-like. I do have really nice roads here in eastern North Carolina so i'm lucky not have pot holes, ice heave's, and rough concrete to deal with. Being this low I've had no issues pulling in and out anywhere. I feel if I had rougher roads to deal with, this setup may be frowned upon as there doesn't seem to have enough suspension travel alongside proper valving to feel planted to the road anymore.
For my use of the car (evening drives, weekend cruiser) it's perfect and ascetically exactly how I want it to sit.
