Was just about to mention that @Tier1Terrier could have dropped his pressures a bit lower. Do you recall what pressures you were running @Tier1Terrier ?

@thesaintusa No doubt my pressures had something to do with it. They were definitely too high. I mistakenly didn't check them until right after my 3rd (or 4) session and at that time they were 39 all around. I then dropped them down to around 34 (while still hot) but I would imagine that any so-to-speak damage was already done (albeit not really that much 'damage').

I usually start with cold pressure of 28F/R and slowly bleed off air after each session to maintain 33-34 hot temp. Managed to make my PS4S last 7 track days. Having said that, I'm running max camber (-1.4F, -2.1R) on my C2S and was getting some shoulder chunking on the fronts (rears were still good!). What's nice about the PS4S is the increased tread depth (vs cup2) and it's ability to lose traction linearly, making it a fun/playful tire (and NOT a hot lap tire). The Cup2's just turn everything up more, at the expense of faster degradation and wet lapping ability. Also, cup2's are not a "track" tire, just an extreme performance summer tire. The Cup2R is the track compound. Nankang CRS is a good "in-between" tire.

Outside of standing water I found the Cup2 tires to have a lot of grip, more than I expected and more than a street tire.

Add in standing water and the Cup2 were definitely at a disadvantage.

Very happy with the CRS.
