Auto Finance expert/consultant for 39 years here. Lenders will ask for a tax return if a) self employed AND credit is thin or low score.

PS: Lowest rates in US tend to always be Navy Federal Credit Union. $10 to join. Basically, if you played with GI Joes when you were young you qualify to join.

Just ask de!ler what credit union

They have seen the lowest rate at recently. It changes all the time. I like to pay my cars off as quickly as possible (but ive been at my job a long time). If it ever goes wrong I sell 1 or 2.
