I removed my rear bumper to change the air filters and there was quite a collection of rocks in there.

I collect lots of pebble bits. Around here it's a necessary hazard since the highway departments spread "sand" after every snow fall. But lately the mix is at least half small pebbles. Even after sweepers come by in the spring, the roads are pebbly.

I can't believe I forgot to post this...if you want to see your actual collection, change your rear flaps out....

Jeez. I too thought I saw a lot of rock/sand in my mudflaps but never thought it'd be that much!

There's just enough gap in the fender liner towards the top for debris to reach behind, the mudflap acts as the perfect cap for it to just sit and dam...I thought I had a rodents nest at first. I easily pulled a couple pounds of crap out.

Have you been stealing pebbles from my driveway? LOL. My 2017 C2S collects stones and shards of rubber occasionally.

I looked at a CPO 2018 991.2 S at a dealer in Pasadena CA. I didn't buy the car because the previous owner did a lousy job of caring for the car and believe it or not there were rock chips wedged in the lower rocker panel just as the OP posted. Geez what kind of dealer puts a CPO car on the lot and doesn't bother to remove them? I found it odd and a turn off to that dealer. Frankly if you are trying to sell a $100K plus used car it should be made presentable. Leads me to believe the dealer is not detail oriented, or up to the standards I would expect from Porsche. Makes me wonder how good their CPO inspection and prep are.
