Default Rear Seat Latch Doesn't Work

I have a 2017 991.2 S4 and just noticed my passenger rear seat does not latch when I try to put it into the upright position. I searched the forum but did not find any articles with this issue. I would appreciate any assistance from anyone that info on how to resolve this issue.

Thank you!

I struggle with mine. Oddly, I also have a 2017 C4S.

Often times, the seat belt has fallen onto the metal locking piece that the latch connects onto. Have you made sure this isn't the case?

Also, I've noticed I have a bent and broken piece of plastic trim on the latch on the seat that gets in the way of it latching. Look for obstructions like that in and around the latching mechanism.

I had this happen on a 991.1, mechanism inside the seat had snapped. Seat had to be taken apart and then reupholstered to replace the part. Was in the shop for 3 days.
