Question Water Pump Replace as a maintenance item?

I’m nearing 80,000 miles so I’m changing coils and plugs. Belt and filters all changed and Brand new rotors and pads

just curious, does anyone change their water pumps prior to it failing? Thanks.

I’m guessing 991.2?

Dont own one but was one of the few reasons I didn’t get one. Seems like they give you some notice with leaking before they fail.

On an engine where it's behind the timing belt and I'm doing the belt, sure, I'll replace it preemptively.

Otherwise nah. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If it's all apart anyway, it's the cheapest time to do it.
In the Alfa Romeo 4C community, everyone changes their water pump when the major belt service hits.

Same in the 928 community. Do it while doing cam belt change.

Kindly clarify this for me, is this applicable to both 991.1 & 991.2 ? or only the 991.2?
