Given the crazy market, your find seems to be in the correct ballpark. Good luck!
While 992.1 vs 991.1 isn't as comparable as 992.1 vs 991.2 Targas, due to the NA 3.8 in the 991.1 vs the 3.0 turbo in the 992.1/991.2, a similar spec'd 992 Targa MSRP is prob +30% vs the 991.1. Helping to keep the depreciation in check. I still say great buy!

I'm fairly confident that I won't be losing a dime on my 2018 Targa 4. It's a 3 pedal car. Sport Chrono, PSE, Premium Package Plus, right wheels and the right color. Picked up CPO in December 2022 and got a last day of the year deal -- very happy with the transaction. As it's part of the "permanent" collection, depreciation is pretty much academic as I have no intentions of selling and I don't intend to part with it anytime soon.

Is that the Yocco's on route 29 near Emmaus by chance?

That looks awfully familiar!

I say don't sweat the PDK. There's no clutch pedal, no getting around that. Otherwise the PDK is the most engaging automatic transmission possible. The car responds so well and quickly to manual gear shifts, racing around mountain twisties with a PDK is 90% as much fun as with a manual. And you can absolutely feel that there is no torque converter, the connection between the transmission and the engine feels direct like a manual.

And when you can't be bothered, just stick it in "D".

MKFC - You're going to love your Targa and I think you're getting a good deal. I paid about the same ($101.5k) in September 2020, as we were coming out of covid, similarly spec'd, $151k MSRP, 20,000 miles, PDK. Sept 2020 was before used car prices really started going nuts, so you're getting the "pre-post-pandemic nuts pricing" (if that makes any sense). Buy that car and enjoy!

Thanks everyone!

I have put my deposit down and picking it up on Friday (hopefully). Will share pics and listing once I do. In the meantime, final purchase agreement was:

- Purchase Price: $102,000
- PPF (Everything in front of mirrors) + Ceramic Coating on the rest: $3,400

An interesting aspect to this purchase was:
- The dealer did not mention anything about aftermarket modifications in their listing, but after checking the glovebox I found that it had a Soul aftermarket valved exhaust system ($5K)
- I noticed that the car was certified by Porsche earlier in its life. Called the dealership to see if the CPO was still active and it still has about a year of life left on it. (Dealer also didn't mention it). This will be especially practical as I intend to do plenty of launches in the coming weeks.
- Finally, brand new tires, and brakes + pads in good condition

All in all, those last two points cemented the deal for me

Now... all that's left is purchasing the toddler car seats ! and enjoying the vehicle =]

I’m surprised it’s CPO with an aftermarket exhaust. I’m guessing the person you bought it from it was CPO and they added the Soul system, cause Porsche will not CPO a car with non factory items in it.

Not true from my understanding. I almost recently purchased a GT3 from a dealer in Los Angeles. Had a GMG after market exhaust and it was CPO.

That is exactly the situation -- Soul system added after certification. Do you know if that voids the entire CPO ?

.

I’ve read the details. They are not supposed to CPO a car with non factory items added to it. Do some dealerships slip a bit? Sure cause they can charge more for a CPO car, and make more money. What gets voided if they find something? I’m guessing a tune would be a big one, an exhaust? Maybe not so much. A few years ago, people bought Audis that were CPO that had a tune in them, then had issues with the tune and the car not running properly. Went to dealer and were denied service, even though the person that bought it CPO didn’t know it was tuned…….that was quite a forum thread on Audiworld I think.

Congratulations on the decision!
Of all the modern 911s I have owned, the Targa is my favorite. I'm sure you will love it too!

Nice!

Welcome to the Turbo wheels club, of which I am also a member. Buy yourself a can of Armor All brake dust repellent. It works and will make a noticeable difference in the look of your wheels day to day. Trust me.
