CPO just covered replacement of both headlights on a 991.1. Glancing at the parts invoice, $ 5,817 …. each. With minimal labor & tax the tab would have been & 12K. I only use OEM parts, but if this should happen again, think I would have to give them a try at the prices mentioned above. They need a PDLS lamp.
Yes, try signing in or creating an account to open link. Hopefully that will work.
Rosewell, no condensation or water ingress and I have been through some heavy downpours.
When you install, make sure you transfer the rubber gasket from the old headlights and install on the new ones.
Yes I knew about the oem rubber gasket, I’m glad you don’t have problem with condensation even in heavy rain. I can’t wait to install them.

12k$ for oem headlight ? Ouch
they are not cheap but it’s to be expected from Porsche .
Since the matrix 992 are plug & play , looking at the DIY video it should take me less than 30 minutes to swap back to my oem if I need to.
I'll let you in on a little secret, alot of our OEM parts are Made in China. Just because it's made in China does not meant it's substandard.
If OP reports the quality is good, then it's good. There is no need to throw shade.
This is quite common and a true statement - however one huge difference is homologation. Lighting homologation requirements per ECE and DOT is no joke and plays a huge part as a differentiator in mfg costs. I've gone through lighting design and development programs (while at Singer) and was blown away at the complexity and as a result the costs associated.
I don't know why it is not working. It was sent directly to me as a message - don't know if that is the reason. Could be also the price has changed? IDK.
If it helps, here is a webshot:
Also may be a good idea to contact the company. I notice they are willing to make a deal.

@rwbern what happened that your lights needed replacing? Trying to see if there’s an angle to get mine replaced!
I should have been a little more specific mentioning they are PDLS lights. Still, I had o ask if I read that invoice correctly! You just don’t “change” a bulb.
Thank you for sharing all the information.
I’m also considering buying one, so these are so helpful to me.
I just want to double check that, this product doesn’t fit with the one originally installed PDLS head lights. Or this can fit with the one PDLS head installed, but this product doesn’t have the function of PDLS.
(Since my one is PDLS installed)
