Hi Folks. I had the rear-end apart to test and replace a faulty COV on our 2014 919.1. Reassembled everything and took the car for a test drive. The wing was extended for the COV replacement. When I returned home from the short drive the wing moved back to the down position but only on the left/drivers side. I took everything apart again, checked the reassembly and went for another test dive. Same result: wing will only go down on left side leaving the right side fully extended. It does not appear to be catching on anything.

Has anyone had this same issue or have suggestions on what to check next?

Definitely the rear wing spring. Lots of folks seem to be running into this particular issue (myself included). My guess is after 10 years the spring and plastic are done. There is a DIY fix or a dealer will require changing the entire assembly. The parts alone for that are $3600 ish
