Default Skipping tracks with CarPlay using multifunction steering wheel on 991.2?

Hi all, anyone ever get the customizable button on the left of the MF steering wheel to skip tracks while using Apple CarPlay? Would sure be nice…

I can get it to skip forward for the native Porsche functions, but the same button doesn’t seem to register with CarPlay. Most every other car I’ve been in, the steering wheel next button does work with CarPlay.

It is a software bug with Porsche, and they’ll never fix it IMO, reported it back in 2018 and dealer confirmed all other 991.2 they tried it on did the same so therefore it must be by design…

The next button under the screen works.

Oh my god, why have I never tried this? Facepalming pretty hard here…

the software issue with the steering wheel button is so annoying though: worked fine in the Panamera, so no obvious excuse apart from Porsche being crap at software.
