Hey guys,

After I watched Discount Tire break 2 wheel studs on my beater Lexus I determined they are not the correct entity to touch my 911 wheels and tires. I don't have any issues now but who do you guys recommend in Houston / Clear Lake area for 911 tire repair, mounting and purchase?

My local Porsche dealer uses TireRack for their tires with the same price and they mount them at their facility.

I’ve had three tires replaced (wear and nails) there and no issues with the work done. Not recently though.

May want to give the local Porsche dealer a call. One of the few things they do at a reasonable price.

I always purchase from Tire Rack and use Discount Tire to mount. I always use the same one and try to speak with the current manager to set my expectations up front. I was even using them to mount my track wheels and road force balance them. I'm in the Sugar Land area......Phil

i believe Discount Tire(Americas Tire here in CA) bought Tire Rack,,,,last time I checked TR offers free tire coverage whereas DT and AT U have to buy it in addition..

My local discount tire is barely competent to change beater tires. I probably just have Porsche do it. not worth the insurance claim with discount tire when they scratch the wheel, chip the wheel.
