Motorized Front License Plate
Hi,
Has anyone tried or have the motorized front license plate for 991.2 or similar? I'm not keen on poking holes in the bumper front or underside and was looking at these 2 options:
Hide-A-Way motor by Race Sport:
https://www.racesportinc.com/hide-a-way-motor.html
Altec Show-N-Go Powered License Frame:
It looks nice. For anyone that has these does it work consistently, has it lasted?
I've also been looking at the non motorized Sto-N-Show front bracket and Carbonio options, but prefer the motorized option.

Looked at it be never tried it. Car is so low that plate would get severely scratched or whole unit damaged or ripped off on that first big bump or incline.

I swear we just had an active thread on this...
These are a gimmick at best. Either don't run a front plate and deal with the consequences in your area, suck it up and run a permanent front plate, or run an offset plate using the tow hook if you want easy and clean removal for hard parking at car shows or whatever.

OP - check out threads using magnets behind the front bumper. That is what I do, I can take the plate off or put it on in seconds. No holes anywhere and it sits in the center unlike the tow hook option.

Yup, mounting underneath would lead to an expensive scrape on the first driveway or dip. I supposed it could be set up in the center dummy intake for those with only side radiators.
But for playing James Bond, I would rather have front machine guns, or at least the thing that dumps oil out the back.

After a gentle reminder from the cops, I got a Carbonio. It's glued to the very bottom of the lip spoiler so the plate sits in front of the black plastic, not the painted bumper. There's a thumb screw for easy removal.
