What I do if ever I have to bring my car in to the dealer or Indy shop is to replace the lock nuts with plain bolts prior to giving my car to them so they don’t have a chance of losing my key and then swap my lock nuts back after I get my car back. A pain but ensures they don’t forget to put my key back in my frunk.
Wouldn't it be easier to just remember to look for it when you pick up your car? You'd also have to remember to do all that before hand too, right?

..and/or wrap it in blue painters tape with "Don't lose me again" written on it bold, so it's memorable/visible when someone uses it.
They've done studies you know, 60% of the time it works every time.

No, cause what if I notice the key is missing when I pick up the car, and then they say they can’t find it in their shop anymore? My method ensures they can’t mess up. 😆
