Where is my BCM 991.2
2019 GTS targa 4 and need to replace a key
not surprisingly, to replace a lost key through Porsche is around $700. 400 for the key, and 250 for the programming + tac. But there is an alternative, but I have to be able to remove my BCM module.
But I have no idea where it is. I believe it’s under the dash, but can’t find it. Would sure appreciate any advice.
The cost would be 170+ shipping so I’m much more reasonable cost for a key.
And is there a parts manual online that I could download for a fee. It’s crazy how difficult it is to get information about my car because dealers are not forthcoming. Thank you, Tom Ficho

Parts catalogue is available from Porsche for free here:
https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessor...artscatalogue/
they update it periodically with the new part numbers.
As far as the BCM location, I might be able to dig that up for you. Standby.

Per wiring diagrams, the front BCM is on the left end of the dash. I'm seeing two connectors, 42 pin and 32 pin. I suspect it's above the pedals, on the left hand side near the A pillar. It could be behind the panel on the actual dash assembly, about steering wheel height, accessible only when the driver door is wide open.
The rear BCM is under the driver seat.
