2016 Base Carrera MT to 2018 Carrera S PDK

2016 Base Carrera MT to 2018 Carrera S PDK
Can anyone give me insight for how much more money is too much to make the jump? My ‘16 is in excellent condition without a single rattle on the inside. Wonderful to drive. But I’m wanting a PDK in the city with 991.2 tune ability. 31k miles on my car seems to get about $70k trade in. 2018 with 10k miles are going for about $120k. 25k miles for $110k.
Your opinion is very appreciated. Cheers to a beautiful weekend.

Why do you want an S?
If I were in your position - I’d get 991.2 base, compared to your 2016 it would feel like a Turbo S and you can still tune it beyond that. I don’t think the cash difference between the new S and your base is worth it.

Is there much acceleration difference between base and S, ‘17-‘19? Non-S saves about $20k. I’ve read about LSD. Can you tell when you have it versus when you don’t? Mine sounds like it’s binding a little when reversing while sharply turning.
Thanks for your input.

Cost today is about the difference from your trade/sold car and the new-to-you car. If you can afford it, go for it.
Porsche: There's always something a little better for a little more money.

I went from a 2017 991.2 base PDK w/o Sport Chrono to a 991.2 2018 S PDK w/ Sport Chrono. Very noticeable difference :-)

The S I’ve found has great options, including rear steering. Thanks for your perspective.
