More brake dust...............!

About a year ago, before my cross-country trip, I fitted my 991.1 with new rotors, pads etc. The pads, front and back, were PAGID from Pelican Parts. As I keep the car clean, even though an almost daily driver, I have noticed increasing amounts of brake dust on the front and rear wheels. Not sure if the pads give off more dust as they get worn down, but that seems to be what is happening. To illustrate the point, I cleaned the car thoroughly last for our weekend drive, paying close attention to the wheels, in and out. We went out for breakfast this morning and we were not gone 2-3 hours, not even driving 60 miles or so, and when I pulled it in the garage both front and rear are covered in brown dust. Not sure I even remember that much dust accumulation ever, even on our long trip where I couldn't maintain it properly. It's almost like they are telling they are shot even though it looks to 50% or more left.
Any ideas guys? If not I may just change out the pads once again only to something a little less dusty. On that subject, in order to save me hunting the forum exhaustively, does anyone have a good recommendation? I am not tracking the car, just sporty driving all the time.
Thoughts and comments welcome................Thanks to all.

Try washing the wheels with an iron remover. Then clay bar and use a ceramic coating. This should make them easier to clean and less dust stick to them. You could also try a ceramic pad they may have less dust. Personally I just think brake dust is part of the ownership and wash it often.

I do use as Iron remover when washing and the rims were coated, barrels and all, last June prior to my journey. I don't mind washing them but I could usually go the work week without touching them.

Do not use a clay bar unless you are planning on machine polishing the wheel. Iron and tar remover will chemically decontaminate thoroughly. Great that wheels are coated.
1 recommendation, if the wheels really bother you. If you have a power washer at home, buy a cheap Walmart baby blue closed cell camping foam pad . Put that curl outward into wheel well and blast the dust off. No need to wash the whole car. It’s coated so you might not need foam but if you have a foam cannon then use that then rinse and forced air and wheels should look darn good. That’s the benefit of the coating, being able to quickly get a fairly decent look. Don’t hand dry with MF towels unless you are going to do the full wheel cleaning.
My GTS has satin black wheels, and the dust makes the wheels look burgundy colored. I don’t care. Means I’m driving the car and enjoying the 911!
Good luck.

The Porterfields are a good recommendation. I installed them on my Aston Martin Vantage on the advice of my tech, in place of the stock pads, The stock pads generated an amazing amount of brake pad dust.
The Porterfields are certainly not dust-free, but they are quiet and work well for spirited street driving purposes.

I'd love to put these on my '18 T coupe but the website only lists them for the front, which obviously doesn't do much good as the rear actually generate more dust these days with all the traction control stuff, etc.
Anyone find these or something similar for F AND R??? Finding same issue with my '16 981 spyder. Still kick myself for not getting ceramic brakes on my spyder as I speced it.

The centric posi quiets are very low dust and low noise. And inexpensive. But they don't grab as well as the oem pads. Pedal requires a fair amount more pressure to get the same stopping response. You get used to it, but know what to expect before you buy.

I track the car. I don’t tend to get brake dust on the wheels as they get covered in curled up chunks of rubber. I just flick those off and the wheels are clean. 🤣
However this isn’t much of a solution as the entire car gets a fine coating of brake dust over it after a track day. 🤣
Every one has their bug bear. Mine is squeal. I can’t tolerate much squeal. The odd peep just prior to a full stop is about it. But i could care less about dust. I need to know the car is going to pull up every time, without fail.
I usually have my car detailed before and after every track day. Brake dust is the detailers problem. 🤣

I replaced my OE pads with low-dust Centric PQ Pro pads earlier this year. Great set of pads for daily or spirited driving. They seem to perform like OE but with a lot less dust, and absolutely no squeal!

I also recommend cleaning your wheels spotless, and then applying ceramic coating. I applied Armor Shield to a new set of Vorsteiner's before I had new tires mounted on. Makes cleaning a lot easier.

Not dust-free, but less dusty than the OEM pads. Even better, the R4s has a stronger bite when cold than the OEM pad, and "I" feel they are more linear than the OEM pad - more proportional to pedal pressure. When I first got my 2014 Boxster S I complained about the lack of proper brake feel to my buddy who races Porsches - he said to get R4s pads. He was right!. I just traded the Boxster for a 911, and about 3 weeks ago I replaced the worn-out rotors and installed new R4s pads in the 911 as well - greatness for street driving.
