Just installed a Joyeauto unit on my 991.1. Bought two cameras and benched tested them…will install them this week.

Seems an actual manual for this product is non-existent. Going through the setup options got me excited as there’s a ‘dvr’ setting. Can you really use this to do a dash cam? Found no explanation what various settings are for and had to do some process of elimination to get front and rear cams working. Note: you need to reboot/restart to get some settings to take effect.

Might not install the front cam as it seems there’s no option how to control it. It only comes on for 10secs or so after the rear cam is disengaged. If I’m using it to inch up to a curb/obstacle it would be a pain if I have to keep shifting into reverse to get me another 10secs of front cam. Wish I could control that with a switch.

 

I can’t remember the guys YT channel, but a husky fellow from Minnesota installed a bunch of those. They have a group that meets up for a Porsche and pancakes. Maybe try to track down his install vids.
