How would they punish you? FWIW, owners are already getting punished with exorbitant service charges for poor service and crazy accessory prices.

I found the email buried deep in my Spam folder. That seems like a heck of a lot of eligible cars and SUVs going way back in time to divvy $80M between....

JNDLA is a legitimate business. They handled the Mercedes Benz diesel emissions settlement payouts (I submitted for 2 cars, got $7k+ plus the updated equipment and software for the vehicles).

I'll see if my 911 qualifies. Don't feel sorry for Porsche, this is strictly business; as someone else said, they sell you a car for the most profit they can make and the dealers don't take pity on you when they overcharge for service.

OK I plugged the VIN for my car, a '16 GTS manual tranny w sport chrono in and it said I am eligible for up to $200 depending on how many other people come forward. Doesn't sound too lucrative, and no I am not planning to go for the extra sport chrono bonus to let the dealer detune my car.

For those playing along at home, the current issue of Panorama has an article on the settlement (the Sport+ info is outdated as it refers to the stop sale still being in effect, and it does not mention the software update), and the PCA website also has an article about the settlement.

We got them in the mail this past week. One for the wife's Macan Turbo, and one for my 911 C4S. Applied online.
We'll see what happens.

As I was researching I saw two things. I saw a settlement dot com website. The name looked rather suspicious. I read the documentation on that site and the way it was phrased, especially around the conclusions (or lack thereof) by the judge, showed me that phrasing would never be used in the legal world.

At the same time of my search, I saw the auto fill with the word, “scam” after it. I went there and another research site pointed back to the first site as a scam.

Lastly, as a registered owner, such settlements always come through the mail. Porsche has my address. The mail often states to go to a website, true, but the origination isn’t a site like this.

Lastly, my Carrera in normal mode continues to get 31 mpg. The emissions issue was related to the 991.1 and not the 991.2. To see such a breath of cars over so many years across many engine designs made no sense.

Nothing added up.

It’s a scam, stay away.
