Default Traction control -

Just noticed that my traction control will not turn off. I am not planning to drive without it on, but nevertheless I thought that’s odd and not normal. Anyone have any ideas? Everything else is just fine. 2015 Targa 4S.

As above -- pushing the button requires a deliberate, long press. About a second will turn it down, and holding it for 2 or 3 seconds will turn it off completely. Holding it for too long I think disables the button until you restart the car (something resting against the button/button malfunctioning protection, common on a lot of cars)

A quick push, as you would for the spoiler, PSE toggle, sunroof pop up, etc will not register. Something about safety and accidentally bumping it.

There's a state between on and off with the button? I thought Sport+ was that state in between...

Now I gotta check that, lol

More or less. There's On, PSM Sport (short press), and PSM Off (long press). I believe the mode Sport+ makes PSM Sport slightly less invasive, but I do not have any citable evidence of this, just vague recollection.

PSM can only be modified via the button on the center console.

Thank you all - that was it. The button requires a deliberate firm push for a little time to engage. Actually makes logical sense so that you can’t accidentally turn traction control off by quickly bumping into it. Great to have a free “fix”.
